Seems to be a bit of slightly off-colour language creeping into posts, guys. OK, it's pretty mild compared to other forums and what you'd hear in the street, but I think we're trying to set a tone that's a bit above that. Leave it out, please.

Community Calendar

You might not have noticed, but we have a Community Calendar attached to this board - the link is at the bottom of the board, under the statistics. At long last we've sorted out the styling (I think), and it's pretty much good to go.

On the left hand side a sidebar shows you a mini view of that month's dates; if you click on the year or month you can jump to the year or month you want, within a 15 year spread. Below that are tools to search by date or by...

Members only forums, DSG membership and contacts

Some of the forums are only open to members of the Droop Snoot Group.

This was decided by consensus among DSG members when we set the site up, and is normally because they may contain sensitive information or to allow freer discussion.

When you try to enter these forums you'll see a message asking you to request membership from the forum administration. You must fill in your real name and DSG membership number or we won't know who you are...

So what is a forum, anyway?

Well - it's a community; the DSGers on the internet. The website's useful, but it's pretty one-way; we put information up, you read it. A forum's two way - anyone can put up messages and discuss what they want to discuss with whoever wants to get involved. It's the chat and discussion you might have at a show, down the pub, or on the phone, extended onto the web.

It's not a substitute for those conversations, and we wouldn't want it to be - but it lets...

Welcome to the DSG discussion forum!

Anybody's welcome here, DSG member or not; although some sections are only open to club members. Anyone can look at the public forums, but if you want to post - or get access to the members' forums - you'll need to register. You can do that via the 'Sign Up' button at the very top of the page.
