HELP me i must be mad but what the sort of cost for the consumables on these cars these days. like ball joints, b pads, brake seals, gaskets etc. solid things
like cams, followers, blocks are hope fully one offs and you have to pay the piper.... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Thought i should say something here, as i think i jumped the in to far before saying hello, so hello to all club members and non club members like myself . I
used to be a member about 12 years ago, but lost interest and left my hs sitting in the garage completely dismantled, including no paint. So at the beginning
of the year i was deciding what to do, sell or restore, as my original intention . I  think i have made the right decision, to keep and to finish what i wanted
to do.

Just picked up a 81 Chevy Chevette. just here to look around and see what can be done with the turd and get some ideas.

It&#39;s pretty boring, was a tow behind vehicle for a couple with an RV. Has 46,000 miles/ 74,000 km, but was towed for well over 100,000 miles.

I owned a 1980 1256 Chevette back in &#39;83 that I tweeked with cam, head, exhaust, suspension and a nice set of Carmona Mistral alloys dechromed and colour
coded white just like a CCC project car, but without the Black Magic body kit. I would have loved to have had an HS, but couldn&#39;t afford it so when one

I live in Somerset and run a red top powered chevette tarmac rally car.  For the last 7 years its been a black version but she&#39;s been taken to bits and the
components have been sent all over the place.  The new car is orange and should make its debut at Castle Combe Rally Day on 19th September.  At this rate
I&#39;ll have to tool round at the back to run it in because it&#39;s nowhere near finished!

I have had Chevettes for a number of years and finally got around to registering here.

My current Chevette is used as an Autocross and occasionally a Sprint car. It is powered by a Ford 1600cc Kent X-flow engine in full rally mode. Its got a
Volvo rad, Corsa header tank, Sierra gearbox and Manta A rear axle. Its got only one seat, harness and a large roll cage inside. Its great fun, but getting to
be an expensive hobby trying to keep up with various... ]]></description>
