"Vauxhall's involvement in saloon car racing stretches as far back as the Sixties, when the late Gerry Marshall drove a Viva GT to second place in the
Redex Saloon Car Championship in 1969. The Seventies, too, were productive. The Firenza, affectionately known as the 'Old Nail', holds the record for
the most saloon car victories in the UK and is displayed in...

Around 1979 there was often a silver DS Sports Hatch parked in Wetherby market place. I have only ever seen two others (Silver Bulet and a prototype soewhere
on this website).

Does anyone know how many silver Sports Hatches were actually produced if any? Is there a book which goes into this and other such details?
Many thanks

The club runs a scheme for club members to authenticate Chevette HSRs as 'genuine' Shepreth built cars.
For cars on the original F.I.A. homologation list, supplied new as HSRs, this normally just means submitting the car's paperwork and a couple of
photographs. Cars which were rebuilt from HSs already on the road are more difficult to authenticate, and will have to be inspected by club officials, together
with any history and paperwork.

But the car I saw advertised was silver like an HPF, supposedly fitted with a 302 which could have been scavenged from an original Can Am and had an aerofoil
