Does anybody know the right PCD of the hub on a 1971 Firenza 1.6 SL ?? in order to source some new wheels, I need to know this as no wheel manufacturers have the car on record! Does anyone have the QH part numbers for the clutch components on the HPF? Mine has gone very stiff (my clutch, that is....) and as the back oil seal has also given up, I want to swap it over while I'm doing the seal.

I've got Vauxhall numbers, that doesn't help much. I asked QH and they replied very quickly, but said that the car isn't listed even in their older books.

Someone told me that front Chevette Springs will fit the Firenza/VivaHC Front suspension.

I know they both run similar set-ups but is this true???

Because I've been offered some at a reasonable price and I dont know which model mercedes everyone else uses for their front lowering springs!

My stainless system for the HPF was from PD Gough in Nottingham - I haven't got a phone number to hand but they advertise in most of the classic mags.

Hi all,

I intend fitting a pair of Cobra Clubman seats in my Magnum coupe. Is there a subframe specifically for Viva models or am I best sticking with a universal one? If anyone has suitable subframes for sale I would be interested.

Hi all,

I bought a set of re-manufactured HPF springs from the DSG last year and was planning to fit them this week. In my Magnum/Viva workshop manual it says that the front springs are of different lengths and are not interchangeble but my new springs are exactly the same length as each other. Is this right?

hi can anyone help i am looking for a brake master cylinder for my hc i need to fit a remote servo but i can not find out what they use to replace the brake master cylinder/servo with. will ha/hb/ fit it ? it has to have front/rear pipe fitting, so i can have two servos like the rally cars did in the 70s.many thanks mike

Hi there I am currently restoring a 1971 2-door Vauxhall Viva 1300. Currently I am in the process of fitting a 2.0tb'd zetec unit, with a suitable gearbox - now the dilemma I have is as such;

what do I do about the rear axle and prop - I presume the 1300 axle/prop are not up to much - is this right? It will only be having circa 150bhp put through it so not a huge amount.

My Magnum needs new front brake discs, does any other car have similar? I believe orginals are not available aymore?

Will HPF springs fit as direct replacements for the standard springs in my '71 Firenza?

If possible I would like to fit HPF springs to lower the ride height of the car a bit. Are HPF springs the only uprated springs available?

Any advice would be great.
