I have been offered a '72 2.3 firenza that 'needs tidying'. Is there anything peculiar to these models i should particulary look out for? I usually stick with motor bikes and general car repair and maintenance, but have wanted one of the old fast Vivas for years. Any advice that may stop me doing something silly would be much appreciated.

Hi all, I am new member but have had a Group 4 HS since 1985. The car was mothballed for 10 years in a local farm shed while I built my house. Unfortunately, due to a storm destroying the storage shed with the car inside, I now need to start restoring it.

I have an Alto kit car that uses HB Viva front hub Lower arm & front crossmember. But I can't get front disc for it, I was told that discs & calipers from a chevette would fit with no modifacation. Do you no if this is so & if so can you still get the front discs & calipers for the chevette & where would I get them from.

Hi guys i'm a new owner of that Red Open top Magnum, featured on your web-site. I am currently changing a few bits around and have come accross a topped up 2.3 magnum engine with twin carbs, new large valve hed, new bottom end and a 2.5" twin exhaust.

I have a 1974 Viva HC SL, 4 door, bright mustardy yellow. 12K miles, it is mint. However the 1256 engine is absoloute pants. Its rattly, I have had to replace all its seals, when I got an unleaded head it turned out I had paid 350 quid for a chevette head, which was metric. My HPF has a ford radio cassete mounted under the dash. It's got to go!!!!.I'm not "quite" old enough to know what type of unit would be deemed as state of the art in 1975 (take it the 8 track was out??). This car could be a good project. Complete gearbox rebuild working perfectly, engine runs perfect but it needs release bearings and pressure plate fitting to the clutch. Has had a new clutch plate fitted. (It cannot be driven, will need towing)
