No, you don't have to change the innerparts. Only thing what we did, the 4 bolts which connect the tube to the axle are m8. We tapped them to m10. Especially when you drive with slicks/sper. You have got so much grip that the traction goes through everthing. Also the 2 reactionarms must be strenghted. See picture (2 thick metal plates along)
Also the attachment to the floor with the rubber inside.(i don't now the english name) Its just spotwelded together so weld this around. With the rallycar(manta) it just broke off........ It's seems like a lot of work but better to strong then another big repair. We also learned the hard way.
