I can confirm that the Banana used a standard HPF nosecone, but the Cibie lights were in a terrible state (corroded reflectors etc.). I preferred the 6-light look of Silver Bullet, so that is what I asked Neville to fabricate for me.

The big difference between the two designs is the the position of the front bumper - its much lower on the Magard nose, which in turn makes it look a lot deeper.

I never realised the Spike Wilson car was yellow as well - no wonder everyone was confused. Great minds think alike I guess - although one of Neville's friends once commented (on seeing the colour of the Banana) "you've got a problem"!!! He did concede that JCB used to race Firenzas in that livery though. And the paint was GM Competition Yellow, so there was no marque disloyalty in my choice!
