due to the snow and unable to get to work i dug my way into the garage and with an angle grinder i removed a large section of the bulkhead for clearance of the bellhousing and to move the engine further back, not only to help the balance of the car but also to clear the alloy sump due to it being larger than the hs sump ,ive fitted hs clubman engine mounts which would work if they were about 17mm taller and the base of the mount 15mm further forward to mount the engine further back, in the second picture you can see the gap between the mount and the crossmember , ive been eating all the cornflakes so as to use the empty box to make templates for new mounts ,ive also added a picture of the toyota box with the lotus excel bellhousing on which im hoping to bolt on to the block to work out the gearbox mount ,then all i have to worry about is getting an exhaust manifold to fit
