Thinking back it occurs to me the real problem was the length of the engine. As a straight six it was two cylinders longer than the 2.3, those Triumphs were very long, cooling passages between each cyilinder etc. Plus they weren't cross flow engines so the exhaust and the intlet manifolds were sandwiched together, taking up even more space. It was a looong time ago of course.........

Your HS sounds like a lengthy project too, I'll see if DYH is in the old register printouts, when I can dig down to them, that is.
