Had a good day on saturday, it was nice to meet Andy Millington and discuss the differences in our cars, we didn't get a very good result 40th o/a out of 75 and 5th in class, the navigation was our downfall.  The plotting was complicated and we missed a control due passing through a spot height that we shouldn't have, and the car just stopped in one regularity and it took me 2.5 minutes to find that the fuel pump switch was off, must of got knocked by something.  without these hiccups we would have finished in the high teens.

There were plenty of famous faces and names around, I had a word with Russell Brookes and Will Sparrow manning a passage control, Barry Williams and Tony Mason flagged us away at the start and manned the finish control as well as other controls during the day.  John Bloxham was around and Nigel Raeburn was part of the organising team.   The weather was good and we had a full day of motorsport for £95 including a meal at the finish and we visited Cholmondeley Hall for 2 tests on the Pageant of Power course.  Not bad value in these days, especially when you consider that a lot of the cars are standard and were driven to the event and home again.

I'll put some pictures up when I get them.
