My Sport SL will have the original basic monocoque with Chassis no, steering wheel, back seat, doors, boot lid and some of the glass.. So will it an 'original' Sport SL? It will certainly be a 'modified' Sport SL but how 'original' is original.

In the eyes of the DVLA I can certainly keep the V5 unchanged but in the eyes of the purists out there it will always be seen as second rate.

I think that the 'modifiers' among us out there in the 70's and 80's car scene now greatly out number the extreme purists and our cars which have had to be altered will be appreciated by the majority of enthusiasts but still scorned by then dwindling few.

I'm not saying that every car out there should be modified beyond recognition just for the fun of it but as already said - needs must!
