my 302 is a built motor with the usual stuff in it,big valve heads, crower custom ground cam, mallory ign, forged rods and pistons etc,
we have run the car to a 13.2 with a missfire, but we know it will do more we are just waiting for an email from crower/mallory as to the proper ign settings as if you time it up as a standard chevy it just pops and farts!!!!

the car will go alot quicker with a nice heavy flywheel and clutch not the th350 box we use at the moment although the auto puts less stress on the 35 year old chassis !!! the downside is that it no longer pulls wheelies off the line...

stock 302s were never 290 hp as we all know about the trans am horsepower watered down figures given out by the big three, popular hot rodding and other mags dynod these motors and numbers more to 400 hp were found, just the same as the chrysler hemis supposedly made 425 hp (if you removed two leads!!!)
