Well, my new bumper rubber strip arrived today, and it looks very good as you can see from the photo - the strip on the left is a new GM bumper rubber strip with a bit of masking tape around it to stop the bolts disappearing, and the reel is the new stuff.
The photo also shows what I was getting at with the measurements I posted - the shape as you cut it at the end of the bumper needs that angle, so the actual length of the strip is a little longer. The angle is so that the end continues the line from the shape of the bumper.

When you use Sikaflex do you use some sort of primer before fixing. I've never had a lot of luck with Sikaflex, and someone told me to use a primer. Any thoughts?

I've used it twice to try and seal the roof on Bullet, but never had any luck with it - Still leaks!

Thanks guys, I'll perhaps give it another try this year. It's just a bit of a pain cleaning everything up. I have also just found a tube of Tiger seal PU adhesive, I was going to use for the VX 4/90 bonnet. Any more thoughts welcome.
