After talking to a few of you (mainly Dave B), I decided to swap the Sportshatch tyres over from 205/60's to 185/70's.
The 205's did give it a better looking stance, but the car tracked alot, the ride was quite hard and 'jittery' or fussy, the low speed steering effort was very high, and there was an occasional foul on the front valance on full lock.
All now resolved going back to 185's, so an all round more pleasant driving experience. Had the Avon safety bands fitted too. Of course couldn't get them balanced, although there's only minimal judder, and no worse than it ever was. Only choice was a pair of budgets in that size (Runway's?), although he did mention that he thought he could get Avons in that size but at £185 each. Dunno if they look like original Avons, if so, worth possibly considering, if not, an expensive option.
