I have been offered a '72 2.3 firenza that 'needs tidying'. Is there anything peculiar to these models i should particulary look out for? I usually stick with motor bikes and general car repair and maintenance, but have wanted one of the old fast Vivas for years. Any advice that may stop me doing something silly would be much appreciated.

Hi Richard,
I say go for it- the thing about these cars is that they are very simple, so there's not much that can't be tackled. Th eonly thing to watch for is serious body rot- panels and other shell components are difficult to find these days, whereas all mechanical parts are not much problem.
