I'll start with Phil Barak at Aintree in 1981 in the backgorund (Doug Niven's Beetle in the foreground).
Anyone else got any?

I thought it would be good to start a thread on Baby Bertha but with pictures that are a bit different or unusual - someone sent me some of Paul Hayward
Half-Penny in Baby B when painted Brown - was it a Lindsay?? I'll add those later if okay.

C'mon guys - you're supposed to be the experts!! Also, my point was about photos that are a little differant.
To the right of the yellow trasporter on the left you will see a white car (behind the person) with a burgandyish bottom splitter. I was contacted by a photographer on Facebook and on looking at his photos I found this photo and I looked at it and to me Baby B stood out straight away so I asked the photograhper and he confirmed it and that Phil Barak had the car at the time (any details on him??). I have a couple of more I'll post in a bit. |

Yeah, I must admit I noticed it there in the back as well. And what looks like an orange Viva GT on the right, you can just see some of the back of it between
those two blokes.

Oh yeah, I hadn't noticed the Viva. Do you think the car to the left of the Viva and behind the Beetle is a Chevette?

Funny how it looks far more threatening in the "proper" DTV livery.
I reckon you're right, that is a Chevette in the first photo. |

Yes Baby Bertha was always 50% Baby Bertha and 50% Gerry Marshall that's why it was so successful and Won so many races. Mind you I had to look hard to see
it, as you so rightly say, being in white you do not notice it so much as in the DTV colours.
Anyway yes good idea Gregor, it's nice to see some unusal photos. |
