Welcome to the DSG discussion forum!

Anybody's welcome here, DSG member or not; although some sections are only open to club members. Anyone can look at the public forums, but if you want to post - or get access to the members' forums - you'll need to register. You can do that via the 'Sign Up' button at the very top of the page.

We'd ask though that if you're going to get involved here, you read and stick to our policies; that way it'll be a better experience for everybody.

First - and most important - treat other forum users with respect. This forum should be a relaxed place to chat to like-minded people. Aggressive behaviour, slamming or bashing, whether in a public forum or private message will not be tolerated, and people doing so will be banned. Remember that when you're talking to someone face to face, there are a lot of visual clues to their mood and meaning that you don't get in writing - it may seem someone's having a go when they're not. If you're not sure, stop and think. Use the 'smileys' to underline your meaning if you need to - that's why they're there.

Don't flood the board - don't post the same message at the same time in several different places. Doing so just confuses the discussion, and may result in all the posts being removed.

Don't type your whole post in capital letters. It's difficult to read, and is considered the equivalent of shouting. Obviously from time to time you might want to put a word or two in caps for emphasis - that's OK.

Foul, imflammatory or vulgar language - don't. Your post will be deleted without notice. If you're venting and need to express yourself, use a series of special characters e.g !*##*! or smileys image instead.

Image size. Pictures should be a maximum of 640 pixels wide. This is so people can view them properly on small screens, and not have to scroll right and left to see them. There's advice on resizing pictures in the help forum and available from forum admin.

Advertising. Keep it to the Snoot Sales forum, please. Many boards deter 'hit and run' posters, who place one advert then disappear - we're OK with that, because it'll bring vehicles to the attention of our members, but if advertisers cause problems we may reconsider this policy.

Scams, spam, fraudsters and other scum - we have IP address logging and other systems in place to detect scammers and fraudsters and may take further action up to and including notifying your internet service provider or the authorities if we think it is necessary.

Don't put email addresses and other sensitive personal information in your posts. If you need to send others your email address, send them a personal message with it in. This is to prevent automated programs - 'spambots', which search for publicly available email addresses to send junk mail to - from finding yours.

Banning. The Droop Snoot Group reserves the right to ban anyone from this forum or club membership who we feel may be bringing the club into disrepute or causing problems for other forum or club members.

From time to time, we may add to or amend these rules as we see fit or as new circumstances arise.
