Posts: 15 8 June, 2009 12:57 PM	Tags : None First of all ---HSDOLLY--- could you post some pics of your "Andrews Van" PLEASE As you all saw in my last post the van is now painted and ive added some detail like rear lights etc and the roof rack is built I still have to build and fit the Tow Bar,i now have about 10 CFs "chopped" and streched but more to do still The chassis has taken an age to get right but its now on its wheels,i will post pics this week! This first one is only a pilot build and im building the second one as i do the first, these will be in Castrol Colours BUT this morning i realized that the LWB had a higher roof than the SWB so im going to alter the roof to get it all just right Thanks for ALL your help so far Guys

Posts: 49 13 June, 2009 8:39 AM	I might as well be interested in a Castrol coloured CF. I'm looking forward to see the end result. As it seems you use old DINKY vans as a donor model, these are abit too "squareish" shaped. However to my knowledge, these are the only CF models available.

Posts: 50 13 June, 2009 8:49 AM	Hi! Just to step outside topic for a sec...... I'm quite fine these days. I've been spending almost all my time restoring my house. I'm going to sell the estate to buy a new house closer to city center. Sadly I then need to part with most of my project cars. I've sold my '74 Magnum and "Gummy" the parts chaser ('80 Chevette). Up for sale is a great SWB '75 Bedford CF 220 with lots of nice spares as CF 350 axles, wide rear wheel arches, high top roof, SAAB 9000 leather seats, 200 BHP SAAB 2.3 turbo engine + Getrag 5-s gearbox. I'm keeping my Firenza project though.... Now back to topic!

Posts: 18 13 June, 2009 9:39 AM	Hi Per 1 Thankyou for your interest, thats four so far Yes they are based on the Dinky CF and as a Dinky Model they look poor Im working flat out to get the first one finished,as i said im doing a Pilot build as well as NO1 at the same time I did promise i would post more pics but at the moment ive realy got nothing to show that has not been put on here already Maybe---after the W/ends over

Posts: 53 13 June, 2009 10:30 AM	May I suggest you try to do an "evo" version of the DINKY CF where you try to sand down some of the bad shaped corners to make it abit more correct shaped. It's annoying there are some nice Transit models out there, but no alternative to the Dinky CF... Castrol (DTV), Andrews, and DOT (Opel) CFs are interesting. Also Thames Television might be interesting if a 1/43 Firenza with bodykit turns up in the market. Mentioning Firenza models, the 1/43 THOROUGHBRED MODELS Firenza SL was surprisingly nice. Posts: 21 8 July, 2009 9:24 AM	Hi Everyone No "One" has taken an age to do,as i said ive raised the Roof to the right height and it looks much better However the Main holdup has been the Decals---i decided i would apply a set to the Pilot Build and they "Just fell to bits"-----total rubbish! ive now got my money back for them im pleased to say and im going to do the decals myself,well the DTC Castrols ones i think i can manage the Red & Green stripes and the Van is silver lol Ive just finshed a Merc Service Van with Race Shuttle If anyone wants to see it please let me know and i will post some Pics
