Just a note regarding a Firenza coupe I saw advertised for sale a few years ago in the Autotrader. Does anyone know of a Snoot exported to South Africa maybe
late 70's, early 80's? Reason being I had heard about this which they called a "Can Am" especially built, you know that urban legend stuff.
But the car I saw advertised was silver like an HPF, supposedly fitted with a 302 which could have been scavenged from an original Can Am and had an aerofoil
as a Can Am has on the boot. I will look for the advert with a little pic and post.
Then there was another original Can Am fitted with the Snoot's nosecone. That car I last saw in East London race circuit racing in the classics. It had a 350 Chev motor and looked tatty. The nosecone I was told some years ago was actually brought in by the Dealer Team to fit on the race Can Am's as was done with Old Nail. But as we did not have such a car selling of the floor it was not done and this cone found it's way onto a road V8.
