KFL 305W is probably one of the best known of the DTV Chevette HSR rally cars, and was instrumental in DTV's success in the 1981 British Open Rally Championship, helping to win the manufacturer's championship for Vauxhall and taking Tony Pond to a second place in the drivers' championship. KFL 305W took Tony Pond and Mike Nicholson to their famous 1981 Manx victory, beating Walter Rohrl and Jim McRae, and was later campaigned by Russell Brookes during his first few months with DTV.
KFL 305W has now been sympathetically restored to an extremely high standard by well-known preparation company RED, preserving all its period features while making the car usable and competitive for serious competition or just for exhibition, and appears now as it did on the 1981 Manx International Rally.
