Thruxton Firenza Sport SL cars.
With all the current concern over how few Firenza 2300 Sport SL's are left.
Rarer than a Snoot by most opinions??.
While digging through some old DSN's (issue 69 from 1999) I noticed the article on the Thruxton race for Sport SL's
This was in 1973,the year before the Droopsnoot race. All it says in the article is the result, with the first 4 cars and reg numbers.
1. Frank Gardner MOT 264 L
2. Colin Vandervell DBP 333 L
3. Richard Scott RUD 702 L
4. Gerry Marshall (who's he??) PGO 380 L
Does anybody know anything more about this race and what happened to the cars?,do any still exist??
Maybe Gregor or Andrew Duerden can tell us more?.
I expect Mick would like to fill a few pages of the magazine too!.
